Potential Uses of Glass Product
The clean glass product that is formed as a result of the vitrification process has many potential uses. These uses must be investigated in detail and experimental items made and evaluated. The following list is a result of considering existing products that potentially could be made from the molten glass product. This is a speculative list and is not complete. It has been definitely established that the material can be cast into attractive and useful items such as the paperweight desk ornament that was done as a souvenir of the Project. Also, pieces of the glass have been made into attractive jewelry. Click on button below to see picture of paperweight.

Uses In Construction
Has proven successful as aggregate in asphalt and concrete construction. Click on button below for more information on testing for this use.
Crushed - as substitute for gravel in asphalt/ concrete, in drainfields and french drains.
Cast in sheets and annealed - use as paving blocks like slate for walkways, wall coverings in bathrooms, etc.
Cast in small individual tiles and annealed - use like ceramic tiles for bathrooms, counters, swimming pools, spa’s, etc.
Cast in small individual tiles and annealed - use like slate or terra cotta for roofing.
Cast as short section of pipe (with or without holes) and use as drain pipe substitute for terra cotta.
Cast in regular rectangular shapes and annealed - Use for decorative walls, fences, walkways, etc.
Cast in irregular smaller shapes like field stone and anneal - Use as decorative facing for fireplaces, interior walls, fences, etc.

Industrial Uses
Have air or nitrogen bubbles blown into it to make it very light, similar to volcanic rock pumice; saw or form into blocks and use for insulation. Should have very high "R" value and high heat resistance.
Form and anneal and use as replacement for glass electrical insulators on power poles/towers.

Use by General Homeowners
Crushed - as decorative mulch, to replace gravel, around plants and for walkways.
Cast and annealed - as birdbaths, planters , flower pots, bird feeders, etc.
Cast and annealed - various shape as borders for flower beds - replace landscape timbers.

Farm Use and Pets
Watering or feeding pans, troughs, trays, etc.
Cast and anneal as general glass containers.

Other General Business Uses
Cast into sheets and used as counter tops much as granite.
Cast into various shapes and anneal - Carve letters and symbols with abrasive blasting to make signs, markers, monuments, etc. Very similar to engraving on granite markers.
Cast into small letters and numbers and anneal. Could be used for signs, house numbers, etc.
Cast into shapes for large and small picture frames and anneal.
Cast and anneal into a variety of furniture knobs, handles, etc.
